Britain's HSE issues warning on MEPWs,telehandlers

LONDON-Britain's Health and Safety Executive recently issued a warning to the construction industry about two specific risks related to mobile elevating working platforms and telehandlers.The first is the danger of an MEPW operator being trapped against an overhead or adjacent object that prevents the controls from being released.The second pertains to working with a tele-handler on sites where the telehandler needs to be reversed,or on sites with poor pedestrian segregation.HSE warned that,due to limited driver visibility,people walking around the site could be struck.
