摘要

Pharmacokinetics of a single oral and intravenous dose of acetaminophen in pheasants is reported. Groups of pheasants were gavaged or injected IV 10 mg/kg acetominaphen in the wing vein. Blood samples were collected at 0, 5, 10, 20, 60, 120, 240 and 600 min after administration and acetaminophen was assayed colorimetrically. Oral bioavailability, elimination rate constant, elimination half life and total clearance were 73%, 0.37 h-1, 1.84 h and 0.65 l/kg.h respectively. Elimination rate constant, elimination half life and total clearance in i.v. route were 0.12 h-1, 5.84 h and 0.48 l/kg.h. The results suggest that acetaminophen has a relatively high oral bioavailability, long elimination half life and low total clearance in common pheasants which are important for optimization of dosage regimens of acetaminophen in this species.
