Biological growing was the theme for this year's New Zealand Tree Crops Association Conference held in Whangarei in late March.Dave Colley, one of the conference organisers, explains the significance of the theme: "2015 is United Nations InternationalYear of Soils so biological growing is topical. This is only the second time that the conference has been held in Northland, and while people know Northland as a region of sub-tropical growth, we broadened the theme to biological growing because it relates to growers from all regions."
