As Iran faces the prospect of tougher US-led sanctions, possibly including measures targeting its gasoline imports, it can always count on the support of major ally Venezuela.During a recent two-day visit to Tehran by Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, the sides signed a package of measures including joint investment in oil and gas projects in Iran and Venezuela, and an $800 million pledge to start supplying Iran with 20,000 barrels per day of gasoline next month.
