ONGC, IOC Rendered Leaderless as Reddy Succeeds Deora in Petromin

The oil and gas sector is in a peculiar situation with two of india's top players-ONGC and IOC- being rendered virtually leaderless from Tuesday, 1st Feb 2011. Both IOC Chairman B.M. Bansal and ONGC Chairman R.S. Sharma retired Monday and the government only gave additional charge for three months to senior officials succeeding them. With the Petroleum Ministry changing heads from Murk' Deora to S. Jaipal Reddy only recently, the management in this sector is in a limbo at present.
