Wellsite Information Transfer Standard Markup Language (WITSML) is an emerging international data exchange standard.It brings the industry one step closer to enabling the shared earth model (SEM),that has been under development at oil and gas companies world-wide (OGJ,Nov.30,1998,pp.58-62).
