This guide provides detailed descriptions of each of the industry and foreigntrade classification categories to be used in completing BEA's international surveys. Industry classifications described in the first part of this guide are used to determine the type of business conducted by the entity being reported (pages 3-49). Foreign trade classifications, described in the second part of this guide (pages 50-53), are used to classify, by product, U.S. exports and imports of goods.
