Deloitte: U.S. shale JVs precursor to NOC corporate acquisitions

Shale-play joint ventures are a stepping stone for foreign oil and gas companies that will ultimately lead to outright acquisitions of U.S. producers, according to M&A experts with energy consulting firm Deloitte LLP. They spoke at a recent round-table discussion of the firm's 2010 Oil & Gas M&A Report and its 2011 outlook.
