World Production Expected to Exceed Consumption in 2016/17

World supplies of 7 oilseeds are apparently more ample than expected hitherto in the world crop season 2016/17. New upward revisions were made for the production, while consumption estimates had to be reduced. A closer analysis, however, shows that the ongoing reserved selling of soybeans by Argentine farmers (at least until now) has enforced the declines in Argentine - and thus South American - soybean crushings and exports below earlier expectations, thus raising dependence on US soybeans and products.
