Availability of floaters is expected to be very tight in Northwest Europe throughout the year with a likely shortage of up to four units during the summer-months-.-The North Sea is on course to charter aproximately 20 rig years in 2005, compared to 13.3 rig years in 2004. While the jackup market has displayed some softness during first quarter, utilization rates are set to improve from May/June onwards when full utilization is anticipated. NETHERLANDS: Wintershall has extended jackup Noble Al White's contract from July 1, 2005, to April/May 2006. Wintershall's second incumbent unit in the Dutch sector, jackup Noble Kolskaya, is now firmly committed to the end of September 2005. Additionaly, the operator has chartered jackup Noble Lynda Bossier for a six-week commitment also in the Dutch sector. The unit arrived in Umuiden on March 8 after being released by CH4 Energy, but will leave Umuiden on March 14 to commence the charter.
