Ministry sees 2 scenarios for Russian nonferrous metals industry in 2012-2014

The Economic Development Ministry has mapped out two scenarios for the development of Russia's nonferrous metals sector in its forecasts for 2012-2014, which the Cabinet approved on September 21. Under the main scenario (scenario 2), which assumes stronger economic growth on the back of efficiency gains in business, expansion and accessibility of bank financing, stimulation of economic growth and modernization, nonferrous metals production will grow by an annual average of 3.5-5% in 2012-2014 as GDP expands by 3.5-4.6%.
