We study the thermal stress state in the primary heat exchanger of the air conditioning system and present operating features and examples of primary heat exchanger failure. We describe an algorithm for calculating temperature fields and thermal stresses in the primary heat exchanger and the results of studying the influence of the compact heat exchanger arrangement on its operation.
