US plate prices remained flat on the week April 17, as sources report bearish outlooks as demand levels remain low and the market remains gloomy. Platts assessed the daily TSI US plate index at $1,200/st delivered, unchanged from its previous assessment. Tradable value in the plate market was in the $1,140-$1,200/ st delivered range, and prices can be had at lower levels as “mill order books are hurting,” according to a Midwest servicecenter source.
