摘要

Studies on steam roasting of gold-bearing arsenopyrite concentrate are conducted in order to determine whether the process of vapor-phase oxidation could be employed in treatment of arsenic-containing concentrates and ores. The influence of such parameters as the temperature and length of the vapor-phase oxidation process on the degree of dearsenication and desulfuration is studied. Based on the experimental data obtained it may be concluded that the action of superheated steam at T = 800 deg C and gas-vapor mixtures at T = 700-800 deg C is the most effective. Air roasting of the concentrate at T = 700-800 deg C does not produce the desired results, and the residual content of arsenic in the cinder is quite high.
