Synthesis andStructure of Perchloro-1#gamma#~5, 3#gamma#~5-diphosphetane

Cyclic five-coordinate phosphorus compounds of the 1,3,2#gamma#~5,4#gamma#~5-diazaphosphetidine (R_3P-NR')_2 series have long been known and thoroughly studied [1]. But up to now no one carbon analog of the above-mentioned compounds belonging to 1#gamma#~5, 3#gamma#~5-diphosphetanes (R_3P-CP'_2)_2 have been reported. In the present work we report the synthesis and structure (by ~(35)Cl NQR data) of the first representative of this formerly unknown type of compounds.
