LONDON, UK — RPC Group is sponsoring the 2017 Student and Schools Starpack Awards as part of its ongoing commitment to attract the next generation of packaging professionals. The awards are designed to encourage the cream of the UK's young people to consider a career in packaging design and technology, and play an important role in fostering talent within the nation's schools, colleges, and universities. Working with organisers the Packaging Society, RPC has drawn up separate project briefs for the two awards. The challenge for schools is to design a 'fun' soap dispenser to encourage children to wash their hands, while students are being asked to consider how to balance the sometimes conflicting demands of a takeaway pack that also meets environmental criteria.
