摘要

With the onset of climate change and a steadily increasing number of assets located within flood-prone areas it has gradually become more important not only to predict floods, but also to predict how changes of the climate and/or of the river basin itself will translate into altered flood hazards It is a challenge for the policy makers, engineering community and insurance sector to characterize hazard and risk and to find appropriate responses to the threat.
