摘要

Although this paper is not a paper on radiation curing, it is closely allied to some radiation-curable systems. The link with radiation curing is that the reversible crosslink structure described in the paper is based on hexa-arylbisimidazoles (HABIs) which have been used as photoinitiators for a number of years. A feature of the HABIs is that they cleave upon irradiation with visible light to give imidazoyl radicals which, in the presence of a tertiary amine or a thiol, will initiate the radical polymerisation of (meth)acrylates.
