Milton Keynes progress for MRF and PFI contracts

A hive of contract activity has overtaken Milton Keynes with the announcement of a ten-bidder long-list for its joint waste PFI contract with Northamptonshire county council and the award of the contract to operate the council-run MRF.The longlist for the 25-year waste deal with Northamptonshire, which has ￡138 million in PFI-funding, is comprised of: Amey/Cespa, Biffa, Covanta Energy, Greenstar E.ON Energy from Waste, MW Umwelt, Resources from Waste, Shanks Group, Urbaser SA, Viridor, and Waste Recycling Group.
