INSENSYS Ltd, based in Fareham, UK, has launched a fibre optic strain and temperature sensing syste designed specifically for use in composite structures. The Fibre Sensor Interrogator (FSI) consists of optic fibres with sensors written into them, a processing unit and a PC system which runs customised data acquisiton software.
