For operators of modern super express trains, however, raising passenger comfort to an entirely new level can be just as important as mere speed in competing successfully with airlines. For example, passengers sitting in the VIP class of that record-breaking train also get to enjoy personal reading lights in their seats, a feature quite common in premium-class aircraft cabins.
