I teach the 9-month didactic section of a 2-year nuclear medicine program. After the students leave my hands, they move directly into the assigned sites at area hospitals for a full year to practice everything they learned in the classroom. Having practiced nuclear medicine imaging before becoming an educator, I use my words and a variety of resources to paint pictures in my students' minds that they can take with them into their clinical work. However, there still is a need to make these ideas and pictures more 3-D. The more concrete examples I can give them, the better.
