THE LINEAR TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM (THIRD REPORT)

NKK is developing linear motor transportation system. This linearsynchronous motor system consists of permanent magnets on the carrierand electromagnetic coils fixed to the square guide way The carrierruns the vertical and horizontal line continuously and two carriersare driven simultaneously, so this system can transport containereffectively. The paper describes the composition of the 35 meter testline and the results of various tests. And we present the concept ofthe transportation system for a high-rise building complex.
