THE LINEAR TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM (THIRD REPORT)

NKK is developing linear motor transportation system. This linear synchronous motor system consists of permanent magnets on the carrier and electromagnetic coils fixed to the square guide way The carrier runs the vertical and horizontal line continuously and two carriers are driven simultaneously, so this system can transport container effectively. The paper describes the composition of the 35 meter test line and the results of various tests. And we present the concept of the transportation system for a high-rise building complex.
