摘要

Laser-sectioning systems are useful for two and three-dimensional geometric measurements. It is a robust and simple measurement method, so that it is a favored system for industrial environment. Based on its flexibility, it is possible to solve different measurement problems. If a laser-sectioning system is mounted to translation stages, the possibilities of using the systems in other fields, e.g. reverse engineering grow. Besides the mentioned advantages, there are also disadvantages. One reason is the low measurement frequency and uncertainty as well as the dependence on the characteristics of the object surface.
