One way to enhance the potential of any manuscript being accepted is to be sure that basic spellings/terms are correctly presented. Many words in clinical nursing publications are challenges to spell because of the preciseness of the term, and thus the convolution in spelling. Other words, however, are common everyday English that seem to confuse many authors. Like mastering commas, getting the spelling to match the intent is one of the details that often distracts authors from their creativity and may limit their success.
