Recently I was fortunate enough to be sponsored by my university to attend the RCN international research conference.I spent four full days circulating the conference suites at York Racecourse listening to a wide range of papers covering diverse nursing-related research topics. Reflecting on my experience has led me to an assessment that I have categorised as the three Ts.The first T stands for interesting. Without doubt the conference could not fail in this respect. With up to 12 sessions running at the same time, it was easy to select a line through the day, taking in presentations ranging from infant immunisation to scientific evidence in nursing home care, from palliative care needs assessment to theory generation in grounded theory.
