Australia-based Liquefied Natural Gas Limited's (LNGL) Bear Head project near Port Tupper in Cape Breton has received a permit to begin construction for its proposed 8 million ton per year (1.1 billion cubic feet per day) LNG project from the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board. The project is the first in Eastern Canada to be granted a construction permit. Final approval from the Nova Scotia Environmental Board is expected in the second quarter.
