Adding to the growing list of drillers thwarted by the market downturn, Magnum Hunter Resources last week became one of the largest US exploration and production companies to file bankruptcy protection in 2015. So far, more than 30 oil and gas drillers with total ' debt of more than $14 billion have sought Chapter 11 protection from creditors, according to corporate law firm Haynes and Boone. More than half are based in Texas.
