The US September gas contract inched a little more than a penny higher going into the weekend to land in the just above $2.80 and ended the week with a marginal gain. The contract traded to a high of $2,934 Wednesday, but was pulled down to the upper $2.70s by a build that came in well above expectations, confirming oversupplied conditions.
