Vietnam: import semis drop, longs prices quite stable

In the Vietnamese long product market, prices are falling at slower pace, andhave even reversed their course in some segments. In particular, prices forimport square billet have slumped by $10-30/t in two weeks since local buyershave not accepted the increase preferring to suspend purchases. Besides,most re-rollers booked the required amounts of semis back in August at moreattractive prices and can take a wait-and-see approach now.
