摘要

An experiment was conducted to study the impact of different post harvest injuries viz., fall injury, rub injury, pin-prick injury on disease incidence, disease severity and physiological loss of weight in three mango varieties (Alphanso, Malgoba, Totapuri) and Sapota (cv. Cricket Ball) fruits. The results indicated that fall and rub injured fruits had higher disease incidence, disease severity and physiological loss of weight among the all three varieties of mango fruits and in sapota fruits at 12 and 9 days after harvest, respectively suggesting that the mode of entry of infection was mainly through the fruits surface bruises or injuries.
