Consumers have evolved. Consumers have evolved. They are better connected, have more access to information, expect instant responses to inquiries, and want one-to-one (not mass) communication. Yet many-corporations and organizations, regardless of industry, have yet to adopt social media, or they are using platforms incorrectly because they understand neither the "why" nor the "how." This article explains how any utility company, including natural gas and electric, can use social media for day-today communications as well as for earning approval of project siting campaigns.
