摘要

The agricultural disciplines are natural fits with service-learning (SL) because of their strong roots in education and serving the community. The objectives of this paper are to present SL work that has already occurred in agricultural courses, andto provide a detailed methodology for implementing SL in an agricultural course. Service-learning should be presented, designed, and executed as a mutual exchange between the community and the students. We believe that well executed SL can enhance the learning environment and provide students the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in a community setting.
