摘要

Automotive OEMs are continually working to make their vehicles safer, smarter and more energy efficient. Many of these developments are brought about by new Electronic Control Modules (ECMs), making electronics the fastest growing sector of automotive content. Flash-based, highly integrated, power-managed microcontrollers are the cornerstone of the ECM, and the key enablers that support embedded system designers in overcoming the challenges that are encountered in implementing new features. Challenges range from power-consumption and space constraints to ECM connectivity for diagnostics capability, while keeping cost low.
