Staffordshire and Glasgow Universities adopt ESP

Staffordshire and Glasgow Universities have both chosen to implement components of the Esprit Soutron Partnership (ESP) 'x' product suite to deliver their enquiry, collection and resource management services. The xdirectory information management system and the new xflow task and workflow management solution are enabling Staffordshire University to implement an e-resource management and enquiry management system. An 'Off Campus' service will support distance learning and local students requiring general information or detailed subject resource information, with access available via the Internet. The university will be able to collect and track all enquiries through to completion, allocating enquiries to the most appropriately skilled member of staff and maintaining detailed statistics on usage. Where appropriate enquiry resolutions can also be automatically posted as Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's) into a central public access resource.
