In January, National Public Television filmed a metalcasting documentary at Signicast Corp., Hartford, Wis., for "Spolight On." Sponsored by the American Foundry Society, the "Spotlight on Metalcasting" will run on PBS. The documentary is intended to educate the general public on the nature of metal castings, processes of metalcasting and the positive ways metal castings affect everyone's lives. It also demonstrates metalcasting's role in recycling waste products, as well as in the economy and U.S. national defense.
