New survey shows strong support for steel making coal mine in Bundaberg

A survey has found that a new metallurgical coal mine in Bundaberg, Queensland, would be supported by approximately two thirds of residents if it protects prime agricultural land and prioritises local workers and businesses. The November 6-8 survey conducted by Fox Resources Limited of over 500 residents in the Bundaberg electorate found that 69 per cent agreed that new coal mines should be approved if the coal is used to manufacture steel, with 13.6 per cent neutral and around 12 per cent opposed.
