More time allowed for clay extraction at proposed fishery site

Warwickshire County Council has approved an application to extend time limits for clay extraction with restoration to fishing ponds at a farm near Tamworth. Permission was granted in 2013 for the development, which required clay extraction to cease by the end of July 2013 and the site to be restored by January 2015.The current application sought to extend the time allowed for clay extraction until July 2015 with restoration by the end of January 2016.The applicant said the extra time was needed because of the delay in securing an environmental permit for the importation of waste materials.
