Azur's latest 1/32 scale model of the French Caudron CR 714 closes a chapter started over five years ago with the renowned Dewoitine D520. This model, with its racy lines and surprisingly fluid form for a war machine, has been well replicated by Azur. We'll avoid too much discussion about the efficiency of this underpowered fighter as it was frequently modified and we'll concentrate on the assembly of this elegant contraption. Let's not forget, however, that a number of manufacturers have already reproduced this model, whether in injected plastic, vac-form, or in resin. Today, we can confirm that Azur provides us with the best reproduction in injected plastic, which is also accompanied by resin and photo-etched parts. There are relatively few pieces, but they are moulded with skill. The representations of structural lines and rivets are as fine as could be wished for. Resin pieces bring slightly more precision to the areas requiring highlighting. The photoetched parts provide a certain refinement too.
