The recently-launched Chrysler Ypsilon and Chrysler Delta is part of an "ingenious new offer" between the USA and Europe, claims Chrysler UK Brand Director Nigel Land. "This is not about badge engineering", he insisted. And yet the Chrysler Ypsilon is a Lancia Ypsilon and the Chrysler Delta is a Lancia Delta in other European countries. The only discernable difference is that the Lancia badges have been prised off right-hand drive versions destined for the UK and Chrysler branding substituted. If this is not badge engineering, then what is?
