At the time of opening this year's Mid West Resources Forum, WA Mines and Petroleum Minister Norman Moore indicated the Colin Barnett-led administration was close to making a decision regarding the energy infrastructure. Shortly after the show, the government announced it would indeed support phase one of the project's construction. No doubt this was good news to the 400-plus delegates who attended the event, which was organised by the Geraldton-Greenough Chamber of Commerce and once again held at the Queens Park Theatre.
