摘要

The Australian Labor Party could well be forced to seriously review its anti-uranium stance (and in particular its controversial three mines policy) as more and more people start to question the rationale behind its logic. Head of the Melbourne-based Uranium Information Centre, Ian Hore-Lacy, was confident the Labor Party was already having a re-think about the whole uranium issue as it faced growing public support for the controversial mineral. Speaking at a recent Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy-organised function in Western Australia, Hore-Lacy described Labor's three mine policy as "a political deal" which did not rest on any real principle.
