Equigold NL has recently undergone a board restructure, with Nick Giorgetta stepping down from the role of managing director to become executive chairman while former CFO and executive director Mark Clark has filled his shoes, also assuming the role of CEO. In addition, the company's non executive chairman since 1993, Simon Lee, has retired from the board to pursue private business interests in Asia while Ross Stanley, also a non-executive director, decided to retire "to reduce the size of the board to a more appropriate level given the appointment of two independent non-executive directors in April 2005", according to a recent announcement. Looking ahead for the next 12 months, Clark said he envisaged the company--now Australia's fourth largest domestic-owned gold producer--would pursue growth of resources at its Ivory Coast projects with Mt Rawdon remaining its cornerstone cash flow generator.
