Although these two projects have different end uses, they both utilize an interesting architectural feature-curved metal panels from Copper Sales Inc./UNA-CLAD of Anoka, MN. Shea Architects of Minneapolis, MN, wanted a distinctive look for Tryg's Restaurant (below), also in Minneapolis, and incorporated a radius roof. The top of the curved roof is 2,200 sq. ft. of UNA-CLAD UC-7 Convex Radius Snap-On standing seam panels. They were manufactured from 16 oz. Patriot Green by Revere Copper, Rome, NY. This is a relatively new material consisting of a copper base with a simulated patina coating that will eventually wear away revealing a natural patina.
