Turkish HRC, CRC prices jump on higher iron ore, scrap costs

Prices for hot rolled coil (HRC) and cold rolled coil (CRC) in Turkey rosesignificantly this week as producers reflected increases in iron oreand scrap costs in their offers.The country’s decision to impose an anti-dumping duty on HRCimports from Russia and other sources also helped Turkish domesticproducers to ask for higher prices.HRC was offered from Turkish producers at $365 per tonneex-works, and a deal was heard at $340 per tonne ex-works. Onebuyer was bidding $350 per tonne ex-works.
