The main aim of the study was to investigate the influence of growth stimulators (antibiotics-avilamycin, plant-preparate X-trakt and preparate Na-Butyrate) when added to poultry feed on the performance of broilers, the basic chemical composition and technological properties of meat and the quality and composition of fatty acids in intramuscular and abdominal fat. The study observed that adding X-trakt and Na-Butyrate compounds to feed resulted in a similar performance of broilers as when antibiotic growth stimulators were added, although the meat had diminished technological properties and contained more fat and less protein. TBA values were significantly higher than in other groups in the abdominal fat of chickens fed with antibiotics, however the fat itself contained slightly more linoleic acid and lower levels of palmitic acid. Oxidative changes occurred most slowly in the abdominal fat of chickens fed with the addition of X-trakt preparate, probably as a result of the lower content of unsaturated fatty acids in the latter..
