Context and setting The Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Adelaide offers a range of programmes including medicine, dentistry, health sciences and nursing. Effective monitoring of student academic progress across different year levels in each of these programmes is difficult because of large classes and differing progression requirements. There are also programme-specific criteria and processes for identifying and supporting students with poor academic performance.
