Polymer extrusion is used to manufacture approximately 70% of all thermoplastic products. In recent years, the process has been put to the test by the vast range of high performance polymers that are shifting the industry away from mass production of conventional products towards smaller batches of products manufactured-on-demand with tailored properties.
