Robotics, automation and vision systems: Chocolate is handled by a single controller

Cama has developed a loading unit for gentle handling of products where the multi-robot platform utilises a single controller which saves space and simplifies interfaces, components and cabling requirements. Called Triaflex, the loading unit can integrate up to four delta robots where the robot arms are controlled by a Rexroth IndraMotion MLC, a combined Motion Logic & Robotic Control. A single Triaflex delta robot achieves speeds of up to 120 cycles a minute and through the simultaneous picking of several products using a 'multi picks' gripper system, it can achieve speeds up to 300 products a minute.
